Heritage Lottery Project
In 2015 the Parish developed a project to address urgent repairs to the Church of the Immaculate Conception in order to preserve the fabric of the building and also to increase its accessibility by providing universal toilet facilities. In addition the project researched the heritage of the church, recorded islanders’ reminiscences and produced a leaflet detailing the heritage of the Church. This project was funded by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and parish funds. Work was completed in 2017.
